PuttCaddy · effective 11 September 2026

The short version: PuttCaddy doesn't collect, store or share any personal data. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising, and the app never connects to the internet.

What we collect

Nothing. We have no server, so there is nowhere for your data to go.

Camera and LiDAR

The camera and LiDAR scanner are used only while you scan a green. Images and depth readings are processed on your iPhone to model the surface of the green, then discarded once the read is done. No photos or video are kept, and nothing leaves your device.

Saved putts

If you choose to save a putt, the read and a model of the green's surface are stored on your iPhone — never images. You can delete saved putts at any time, and deleting the app removes them all. Like any app's data, they may be included in your own iPhone backups to iCloud or a computer, which are controlled by you and Apple. We never receive them.

Settings

Your preferences, such as distance units and default green speed, are stored on your iPhone.

Location

PuttCaddy does not use your location.

Third parties

PuttCaddy contains no third-party code, advertising or analytics services, so no data is shared with anyone.

Crash reports

If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports. That is controlled by Apple and by you, under Apple's privacy policy.

Children

PuttCaddy doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will be updated — and its date changed — before the app does.
